Still sad to see that the localised PS2 versions will never benefit from the Final Mix content.
PegPeregoGaucho
True
PegPeregoGaucho
It's worth noting that I played the normal version
Martyste Tendertail
The English VA, to my perspective, sounds so bad compared to french.
Martyste Tendertail
( I played French normal too, I just can't touch Final Mix or any rereleases )
Martyste Tendertail
Like, English Sora sounds too young imo

Ok then : what I prefer in KH II : - HP and MP grow by accomplishing certain events, therefore, you don't need to farm to get them. (Even if you can also lower the difficulty to get more HP/MP with levels). - I don't HAVE TO use Cure. I can deal with potions and try to not take damage (which is almost possible if you're good (enough) at the game) - I admit the HUD display for your party members' HP and MP is bad but I don't really mind because I don't rely on them to proceed... :) - Atlantica is a short world ... lol
Simaf
- You have more ways to defeat enemies
Simaf
- Bosses are quite fair (except for some)
Simaf
- gummi missions are skipable
Simaf
- Sora seems (a little bit) less stupid
Simaf
- Drive forms and limits are OP
Simaf
- Hades paradox cups are really cool except if you want to complete JJ requirements...
Simaf
I do admit though that the three last points you mentionned are missing in KH II unfortunately

YFW you fail a strat while speedrunning, or the result of doing the strat is not what you wanted

I'll continue talking about non-Asterix games here for obvious reasons: Playing a game as a kid surely makes you feel better of it when you grow up than if you played it for the first time after childhood. Even trashy games can give you some pleasant feelings if you played them in your childhood and decided to replay them many years later. Like, I played two "Barbie" platformers, "Garfield" (the game where he uses a vacuum cleaner to put all objects back to their places in the house) and "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire"as a kid, their flaws have become even more noticeable as I got older, and yet I can't bring myself to hate them.
Martyste Tendertail
Ah ah, same
Martyste Tendertail
M&M's Shell Shocked is pure garbage released in 2004 on the PS1, buuuuut it's still part of my childhood regardless
Stinkek
... They made a game about the talking candies?
Martyste Tendertail
Yes
