200$ for an item in a videogame which is functionally identical to a stock one... Some people just don't know what to do with their money
Sure, it looks pretty, but the stock knife has the same stats. And if they do revive that game, the offer will plummet

The reason the knife costs so much is because it's one of those items that's very rare or impossible to get
An example is the Iron Curtain for the Heavy. You were able to unlock it by beating Heavy in Poker Night at the Inventory when he presents the minigun but since the game and its sequel got removed from steam the Iron Curtain is basically impossible to get nowadays. Not even sold on the steam market outside of killstreaks for it
And since it's sort of an achievement item it can't be sold or traded
you dont need to buy a skin when you can make one by yourself
No use, Valve adds in game only the dumbest and most tasteless skins you can think of.
I mean, almost everything you would do, will be better, than some skins that in game now.
not to mention the skins that can only be applied to a single or select few objects
