Only a waterfall shader rendered...
If you rewind to random parts of the video, you can see me change graphic and resolution settings. Nothing works.
On what platform are you playing ?
Good evening, Zoe! I play on PC, Windows 7 64-bit.
Ps : For some settings you have to relauch the game
I see, the game informs me about it when I change certain settings. But no matter what resolution I choose or whether I enable some options or not, the game doesn't show any 3D objects except waterfalls.
I remember when I tried to play "Asterix Mega Madness" (a game from the early 2000's, it existed before "Asterix and Obelix XXL") on Win 7 64-bit,it didn't display any 3D objects either. However when I played it on Windows XP, everything was fine. But I'm sure XXL3 won't even launch on XP...
I'm glad I didn't ask my father to watch me play this game for the first time, otherwise I'd be so embarrassed...
he would have been confused af
"That wasn't in the script..."
Interestingly, I never had this problem with "Asterix and Obelix XXL 2" remaster.
Since I had told my father that I already had the game, he came to ask about my impressions. I had to tell and show him what was going on. We tried to fix the lack of 3D objects by choosing the lowest video settings, but it didn't make anything better.
I torrented the game, and at this point I'm afraid to actually buy it, because what if the problem is within the game? Or my 12 year old PC? How can I know? I'm not the one who built it...
The fact this game was rushed and showed a lot of awkward moments in the pre-release footage doesn't help...
There has to be a link with Mega Madness not showing graphics either on your machine
MM is ancient though, and it shows graphics on Windows XP
Maybe there's some redistribuable files you're missing
I'm not an expert in that domain but i've had modern emulators fixed using that
Redistributable files... Oh god, that sounds so familiar and I don't like it... I think I had to get some missing files like that and I don't even know what they do.
