somewhere not in post with game description and not in description of this text channel...

I searched it already befor you did; didn't find it, but I remember it.

From what you said, it seems you expect the mod to be on par with the base game, that is it should have same difficulty, same types of rewards, should have all the costumes, should be enjoyable for everyone etc., but the point of the mod and probably any other mod of any game is to be different from the base game and try something new in it, which is what Cesar's Challenge is doing. So of course the changes might not please everyone, and that's totally fine.

Why do you believe that you are entitled to a perfect mod for free? If I would be some random person who played XXL as a kid, I would be extremely grateful for having the chance to play my favourite childhood game with all the limits removed allowing for huge fights which we all dreamed about.
pegperegogaucho
Of course I might be annoyed by bugs, but when you consider the fact that a random person has seemingly spent an insane amount of work to let you experience your childhood game again I would not complain one bit.
pegperegogaucho
Don't get me wrong, I understand your criticism but it is very egotistical to complain about something a person has spent so much time developing for other people to enjoy

↑ This. Thank you very much SPQR for all the mods and the content you are offering. It gives me Nostalgia feelings as well as a love to the new mechanics and abilities which are possible up to that point. Because at some point the base game just gets boring for the same reason: it is always the same if you play it over and over and over again the same way. And therefor the mods are perfect to enjoy and to have new fresh air.

i compared original game and mod just to show that even developers of the original game knows how to various gameplay, make it interesting. But we, fans of the original 20 y.o. game, just degrading.
filip5011
what
pegperegogaucho
Yes, the developers of the original game spent way more time and also got paid a huge amount
pegperegogaucho
You cannot even compare the two
schmeling65
They got paied, had time AND had MULTIPLE persons working on the whole game. Meanwhile here you have 2-3 Persons working on the different areas of Tools, Creativity (insert other good words here) and Gameplay-Development. They are getting NO money out of it and use their freetime to develop that stuff. comparing that would be like I say to you "Why are you not the president of the United States then?"

i'm done. i'm just done. i've tired to repeat again and again how thankful i am for mod you've did but you still pointing to me that your mod is free. i'm not gonna continue that meaningless conversation cause you don't want to hear me.

When you think that a handful of difficulty issues or whatever outweigh the sheer amount of work a person has put in to offer you a mod then I don't know what to say
pegperegogaucho
Im extremely greatful for Adrien's editor as well even tho it has issues. I still don't claim it sucks because of this
pegperegogaucho
If I would have the choice between no editor and a one with issues, of course I will take the one with issues? :Obelul:

Modifications are made by fan/fans of the games, it's just nonsense to compare game which was produced by one company to the modification made by fan. Of course there are some things which could be changed in the mod, but like it's still amazing that Spork made sth from ground up, new locations, enemies, types of weapons, bosses etc. Like for one person which is doing that in his free time and for free it's really fucking cool. Like Schmeling said, it's mod which a little bit copy structure of unfair xxl, but the game from the start to the end is not at the same difficulty. It gradually increases. And yeah it's a bit pointless to compare cesars challange to the original
