settlers dff things were different in many things and needed literally the RW-Analyzer for it, including Hex-Stuff which was very annoying. So Kimichura made a handmade-plugin which goes via JSON :UHM: like dff -> json -> model and the other way around. I also tried to find other stuff, but I never found that one.

Oh, I don't play Siedler :Obelul:
schmeling65
I know, but the fact that it gets modded heavily (specificly this game) gives more than enough reasons to be insanly happy about that plugin of DragonFF
schmeling65
also I mentioned some times in the past already that both use Renderware ^^

For the conversion there is an execution/executable beside, which should be used by Blender automatically for the binary imports/exports (dff/anm files) (It is close to the Version 2, but instead the executable uses stdin and stdou and no file(-calling?-naming? If you want to do it manually, it could go like this: The file "model.json" is given and the file "model.dff" will be created out of it. RW_inline < model.json > model.dff The file "model.dff" is given and the file "model.json" will be created out of it. RW_inline < model.dff > model.json Otherwise I recommend using the Exe from Version 2 for the conversion, if someone wants to work with JSONs (e.g. for debugging) ```

but you know what's great? If you want some model-stuff I can give you all the stuff and reuse it :KEKW:

Does he have this application on github? Did he not know about dragonff?
schmeling65
nope. nothing from him on github; only on his own server and private code. I am not sure if he knows about dragonff. maybe he does, but due to some extended stuff like animations it didn't work and he made his own? not sure why. Also only 2-3 people are using his one :Obelul:
pegperegogaucho
what does the json look like?
schmeling65
no idea, never worked with it
schmeling65
I wanted, but 2.79/2.80? cmon :WeirdKEKW:
