i think it was a bad idea
from the quality of the game and bugs in some cases it didnt do that good
they could have stick to their own engine and train in a meantime other employees for UE
I believe they must have had not enough resources or incentive to use their OEngine which is weird
they have been developing it for at least a decade, yet they throw all that away to use UE which must have cost them a lot of money to switch and pay license fees
but maybe it was worth it as most people are familiar with it instead of OEngine
yup which is why i am saying that it was a bad idea
but was it really necessary?
after xxl3 most of employees left Osome
at least some key developers for sure
and it would have made sense to continue using OEngine and hiring better specialists ti help fix main issues of their games
game design and level design
but it went worse as we can see in xxxl
it went that bad that they didnt really made any cash on xxxl and now are developing a cheap 2d game no one asked for to raise at least a bit of cash
it feels like its really bad situation for them
oh wait my bad its the Nutz studio that is making slap them all 2
so it appears that XXXL was the latest game from Osome
