because the graphics arent as dark/gloomy as the first two XXL games
and the romans are more "friendly" looking
and its not always about the gloomy graphics
osome went for comic/movie approach in graphics
simple smooth graphics which dont require much resources to develop
it would take them so many resources to develop a game like XXL with all those juicy details
not even going to speak about XXL2, that game is in a way a spiritual successor of XXL
the jump in graphics and details is huge and made with love
and a lot more vibrant and colourful
Osome is just pathetically trying to not drawn in game industry right now
they are making a game that is easy and quick to make
graphics wise and gameplay wise
which requires small amount of resources
which is why every game they make is more crappier then another
you cant really even call those games mediocre i dunno, they are below that lol
I believe the gameplay was built around the idea of coop, multiple players playing at once
In many puzzles you can simply skip a huge part since obelix can just teleport up, but with coop you would have to do it in full
it was designed as a party game
they didnt even give it a second thought that you could play it solo
which is why their game design doesnt work at all
