interface keys are also probably weird as you know... dpad can only be used to control interface keys either by letting the game default for you, or mapping them manually ( but loosing ability to move interface with the left stick, as default shows left stick to be officially holding the bind )
yeah interface keys can have up to 2 mappings!
so my best understanding of the situation is: defaults generate a controller setup that has *conflicts* in them according to the game, and trying to rebind some of these will break that conflict
also i got a jam under my spacebar, i gtg investigate

nothing i can do much about my spacebar, outside of slightly detaching the right side metal bars, as it seems to give a small bend to the key, and more push force to the center...
the K100 Air is a model where Corsair doesn't recommend touching the caps at all, and so far i've only ever managed to safely detach small keys, not the large spacebar. i'll live with this issue until i can maybe ask someone more experienced to investigate.
thankfully i don't use the spacebar in gaming, only for typing

That's because interface is special, it can have at max 2 mappings on the same page.
