> Apparently, he had a bad experience with infogrames, who attempted to block LaForrest's "royalties" from Asterix Olympic Games OST. @Appleseal Confirms my idea of him... He's too much of an artist to not clash with the video game industry at some point. :cacofonix:
Martyste Tendertail
Laforest is some kind of Cacofonix!
Martyste Tendertail
Like him, he has people who didn't enjoy his music ( XXL 2003 reviews, anyone? ), and he has dedicated fans ( Cacofonix mentions fans from Lutecia if i'm correct )
Appleseal
@Martyste Tendertail because you were around the time of XXL2's release, what were the reviews for it like?
Appleseal
Like were they positive, negative?
Martyste Tendertail
I was 7 years old when it released...
Martyste Tendertail
And only my older sister had internet at home
Martyste Tendertail
Also, I would only hear about XXL 2 during late 2006.
Martyste Tendertail
I don't have any idea of the reviews for that game, unless we just read them now on the internet.
Appleseal
Oh, my bad then.
Failentin
Search for it on Metacritic

Only reviews for the remaster pop up for me
Herr Epsilon
None of these games were received well by the gaming press. I'd say XXL was around a 60 overall (main points of reviewers: repetitive gameplay, platforming too simple, music unfitting, graphics just okay, no real story). XXL2 was around a 70 or so (better story, better graphics, better gameplay, music still unfitting). OG was somewhere between the two (plus points for story campaign as opposed to just a collection of sports mini games, gameplay and graphics received around as well as XXL2, game is too short).
