this music ❤️

Both themes are good in their own ways

The interesting thing is, I have never found an artist who could replicate Albert Uderzo entirely - other than his brother Marcel. There's something about the ease of the strokes and his weirdly proportioned characters that only works in his brain... The closest match imo could be Fabrice Tarrin who made the illustrated book for Secret of the Magic Potion.
Stinkek
I try to imitate his style, but not the strokes... They appear to be done traditionally, in a technique that I don't use. So I can't truly replicate it.

@Martyste Tendertail Could it be that the music got replaced by the French version later? Because I think on my DVD it's the French track playing as well
Herr Epsilon
@Bread When did you buy your DVD?
Herr Epsilon
@Stinkek Yes, some of your work is really good. Your practice shows. 👈 I also like your versatility. But, if I might say this as someone who does not draw regularly anymore, your mimic and gestic expression sometimes seem a bit subdued.
Herr Epsilon
By the way, talking about Uderzo's strokes, this one has some great inking.
Stinkek
Thank you! I think my mimic was at the top a few years ago when I was influenced by Ed, Edd n Eddy, Tex Avery's cartoons and Ren and Stimpy. I just don't have the desire to make such exaggerated expressions nowadays. It may be partly because it contradicts my quiet melancholic nature. As for gestures, I... have always been bad at those... This picture is fully digital, strokes like this are possible with a drawing tablet (dynamic strokes depend on pressure sensitivity) and some brushes. I think Uderzo inked lines though.
Bread
@Herr Epsilon I think my dad bought it back in 2006 or something like that
Herr Epsilon
@Bread The intro has been tampered with multiple times. There are also, I think, slight synchronization issues with the 1984 synthesizer intro and the original intro, so they most likely used the original intro for the DVDs to ensure that the French audio track is in sync.

Interesting🤔
