Out of curiosity, has anyone ever had any of the XXL games freeze at random times, or at certain parts of the (unmodified) game, and on any platform? If so, does anyone know what the cause is?
Never, really. Only when loading sectors, or the first time you hit an enemy (it freezes for a little bit).
But not like a permanent freeze? Just like a stutter i guess?
Yeah, you can get the game to freeze if something bad happens in the scene graph, but it does not happen in XXL games really

Only reason I'm asking is, a very small handful of people on Alice Steam forums are having the game freeze, very near the start of the game, but always at the same place (the time gates at the start of Strange Garden). Apparently audio still plays as normal, and I think it's implied that the game is still running in the background, just the graphics are frozen. I have no idea what the cause of it is, I've never experienced it myself
Was just wondering if it's another engine/library issue like the Windows 11 startup crash, but I guess not
