The level is named "Rome", so it cannot take place in Sicily, also note that we enter Rome through the city gates in the first sector, so there cannot be a bridge because we are already in the city, inside the city walls

Furthermore, note that everywhere where there is a save druid, a path is also present, but the path starts after Sicily on the map!

The most we now is what Forgut posted here, there could have been 3 save druids in Rome. The number of druids also matches up with the remaining strings of the other levels, so this is very likely how many would have actually been there I would say

Note that the door at the start is actually part of the level geometry! So I guess once they cut Beta Rome, they closed it off!
