However in those games the texture scrolls from top to bottom, so far I was only able to make it scroll from left to right in XXL
frames with different positioning
and engine just switches between them
for 2006 game that would be a huge frame drop if whole stadium were 3d models
not for the remaster tho

In XXL2 the UV animation is stored in the CMaterial if I'm not wrong
and it's still some Kal structure and not necessarily Renderware
thus it's surprising how Mat couldn't reimplement UV animations for XXL2 remaster (like how the Lemmings reference in Lutecia no longer moves)
