Hey, how was the nodrm module for the game created? It says that it was made from the Polish nodrm version, but the polish version doesn't have the file.
It doesn't really explain how it was made though.
well on that question @pegperegogaucho or @adrientd can answer
It is from the polish version released by cd projekt which featured a recompiled game executable
so how was the gamemodule created from this exe
It's not recompiled, CD Projekt likely has a team who crack game executables and remove DRM so they can make Polish translations of the games without the need of the source code (which even Atari might no longer have access)
The Gamemodule is just a renamed exe, you can rename the Gamemodule.elb to an .exe and it will still work
It is actually possible that in the Polish version it's named Asterix.exe and you launch it directly
Compared to the original release where it launches a small asterix.exe executable that will just launch the GameModule.elb file
plus some DRM-patches and patch-avoids if I saw it correctly in that short time.
Wait what? But the translation was official. 100% authorized. So I believe they had the tools
Yes, it is official, but they didn't seem to have the entire source code of the game.
