I'd love to know whether @nekin, @alatinn, @jeanpierrenator are down.
Speedrunning events are a great way to rekindle and bring life to communities again.
If it weren't because of them, I'm not even sure if I'd have continued speedrunning after my 2018 heyday. But thanks to them, I'm still very much present in the Klonoa speedrunning community - and a menace to WRs there if I dare say.
Well, to each community comes their own culture. Don't have much of a say as an outsider
Reminder, you don't need to be the *best* to participate.
That is because we are trying to balance the teams (of over a dozen players) such that they can all theoretically finish their runs at around the same time.
There can be a time variance of over 20 minutes for players of the same game
Would be funny to see XXL2 instead of XXL1 which is VERY and I mean VERY reliant on RNG.
How do you guys handle that? @balneor
I mean the time variance due to RNG is 5 minutes maximum, right? So it shouldn't be a problem probably?
Huh you really mean that? 5 minutes?

Umm, well. I guess when the time comes and the game gets voted, we're gonna have to discuss this game's marathon viability more in-depth.
But you know, the MMR is also very volatile. People have been slower off their PBs by well over 15 minutes many times in runs before.
It's not even a death sentence to the team in question, because one such fated performance can and will happen for each team at least once (so everyone is "equal" again). You're just hoping to not be the one !
But 5 minutes of variance doesn't seem like a big problem
so most XXL1 runners would actually qualify. 1:05s are the top tiers and even my rusty ass can still match my 1:13 PB...
I'm guessing we all want any%?
for me it's the only route that I know x)
I suggest we call it toilet skip skip
How about TSSC (Toilet Skip ShortCut)
