One last thing that Beta Rome needs is (are) save druid(s). I have no clue yet how to properly implement those, it has never been done before after all, but where would you place them? Note that they need to be near the respawn points marked below
pegperegogaucho
Adrien, heso, do you know anything about how spawn points are connected to the great map? How would you go about adding another point on the great map?
alatinn
I think I would add only 2 druids, on these locations:

The first one would be close against the stained-glass window, and the second, in the cannon closed room
alatinn
I think it's necessary to have one near the end of beta rome since the first druid in actual rome is just before the ending
pegperegogaucho
The druids actually need to be right next to the spawn point, because in your example you could save at the machine gun and then reload to land in Sector 4, skipping a lot
pegperegogaucho
But otherwise the plan sounds good!

I guess it mainly depends on how long the sections. Reaching I. should be very fast, and if the parts after get longer than it was in the preview, I would put one save druid at II., just inside the end of the transition sas, so need to be careful to not let annoying romans there. And also I would put a save druid right before sector 3, again inside the sas.
alatinn
Oh ok, I didn't expect to be that close ok...
alatinn
lemme think
pegperegogaucho
Like this?
adrientd
Exactly like that 👍
alatinn
Here's my thinking process: - I'm not sure 1 druid is enough for casual players. I think most of them will want to clear everything on their first playthrough, which might take a while. Except in Greece, the druids are pretty close from one another... - I think 3 is too much - In terms of game design, I think is better to have a druid in "safe locations", away from enemies. I think it's where the players would think they are.
pegperegogaucho
Sounds good!
pegperegogaucho
Hopefully we can get inserting another two druids onto the great map sorted out
alatinn
I dunno if those locations are satisfy the constraint: "to be right next to the spawn point", but I think Adrien's proposition looks great
