Of course I still don't know what to do with this...
mr.rubinshtein
i have a feeling this is a location for a laurel
mr.rubinshtein
its on the great saircase and it would make sense that if you finish this area you will get one
pegperegogaucho
We discussed this earlier, but the problem is that this gate is optional currently and you could skip it. Then, when you throw away the torch, you cannot blow up the gate anymore
pegperegogaucho
So we must either remove it, or make it necessary :Obelul:
mr.rubinshtein
yeah i mean it could have been done on purpose for replayability
mr.rubinshtein
which is why i have been so much pushing for laurel :Obelul:
mr.rubinshtein
alternatively maybe you have to save Sam or something, he gets trapped in rome lol
mr.rubinshtein
if lets say this area was full of multipliers or shields still makes no sense really
mr.rubinshtein
one more thing that comes to my mind is location for a fire
mr.rubinshtein
like its optional you can skip it but also for easy playthrough this could be an option
baku69
put here sam which after blowing tnt leaves and says sth like "thanks" xD
adrientd
It should also be possible to make Asterix keep the torch until all barrels in the level are exploded.
adrientd
Though Sam in prison is funny :Obelul:

I know there is unused dialogue about Sam giving you a piece of the great map, maybe that could be the reward. Though pretty sure we already have the entirety of the Sam, so no...
pegperegogaucho
Sure, but it would be akward to keep the torch all the way until the boss fight :KEKW:
pegperegogaucho
And unfortunately Sam behind there is not something that would fit in my opinion...
pegperegogaucho
And also the dialogue would be difficult
overfloyd
I think the laurel option is the one that makes sense the most like Rubin said

I just had an idea to address this problem: 1. Asterix goes down the telepher as normal. 2. He goes up the stairs and encounters formations blocking the pressure plate. He grabs the fire on the other side of the door 3. He goes down to the breakable wall and ignites the powder keg. 4. Behind the wall is a potion dispenser. Asterix uses the potion to rid of the formations! Ideas???
